AND EIGHT!

Gosh, what happened to 2006 already? Hard to believe that our next meeting, is coming up so fast. This will be on Wednesday, January 10th in keeping with our practice of meeting on the second Wednesday of every month. Because this is the first meeting of the New Year it seems fitting that our first Special Guest Speaker will be the Chairman of The Nevada Republican Party,Paul Adams. More on this below.

Please note that we have changed our motto. It now says, "WE WON'T WAIT 'TIL TWO THOUSAND AND EIGHT!" It is our belief that while Nevada sure "bucked the trend" by electing a Republican Governor and Lieutenant Governor that this last election was lost nationally because while the demo'rat donkey kept busy, the RNC Elephant suffered from a severe case of complacency. Now it's time to stir the pot! It is time to get busy!!

With that in mind, Jean and Bob Savera and I attended Sharron Angle's Grassroots Conference recently. The purpose for me at least, was to perhaps look for a new direction for our group. Our feeling is that the time to start preparing for the 2008 Presidential and Nevada elections is now, not a year from now. The question remains: What direction do we want to go in? What direction does the Nevada Republican Party want to go in? Will the challenges we face be mutual? This will be the subject of the January 10th meeting.

Nevada Republican Party Chairman Paul Adams has honored us by being a Special Guest Speaker on numerous occasions during the past two years and we regard him as a very Special Friend. In the coming months our list of Special Guest Speakers will surprise you. They aren't always going to be Republicans folks! Changes don't occur without new ideas, and that's what we are looking for, so get a good grip on your hanging chads, this is going to be quite a year!

As always the January 10th meeting will be held at the Marie Callender's Restaurant which is located at 8175 West Sahara. We kind of get things going around 6:30 but the meeting starts promptly with The Pledge Of Allegiance at 7PM. Come to listen and come and to learn. It's time to get busy! Thank you.
